Lunar Eclipse on 16 June

Going to pen down my thoughts about the Lunar Eclipse which took place on 16 June, about 230am!!!

This is the first time whereby I am really staying up late to witness the eclipse :)

There is a Lunar Eclipse viewing held at Science centre, the Omni Theatre open field on 15 June, 11pm till 6am...

Hubb and me went to join in the fun as we really wanna see the eclipse!!

Left home about 1030pm, got a lil lost on our way there, as we are not familiar with the West area.. reached the place at about 1130pm... it's packed with people but still not very squeezy kind... There is a movie marathon going on to keep us occupied while waiting for the eclipse to take place...

Upon reaching, we went to buy hotdog buns, so yummy!! Beforehand, we already bought drinks and tidbits :) Bought 2 mats there, for us to sit on the grass field... Was being informed that the Eclipse will take place about 230am, so we had like 3hrs to waste!!

I felt asleep on the mat for about an hour and woke up ard 130am.. heh... Movie shown was Avatar then Transformer... About 230am, the movie was paused, because the eclipse will take place soon!! But sad to say, it's very very cloudy, thus we can't even see the moon, it's been blocked :( The Eclipse will take place for 100min, and the Total Eclipse, whereby the red moon will appear will be at 3.22am...

We did witness the partial eclipse, but when the total eclipse is gonna happen at 3.22am, the clouds covered the moon again and it rained heavily!!! There goes our chance of seeing the red moon :( Strong winds started blowing, and we knew our chance is gone as the timing has already passed :(

Many packed up to leave, then the heavy downpour came!!! What a coincidence...

Though a lil disappointed, but it was a really great experience for the both of us.. Kinda sweet to go experience the Eclipse together :)
